Dark Force Incursion is a solo game where the player has to reclaim the defensive forts in his land from an invading Dark Force. It is played on a single sheet of paper and with the use of a six sided dice the player plots his route across the hex grid map. Obstacles will be encountered and battles lost. The aim of the game is to claim back more than half of the forts on the map. The number will vary based upon the map, but ultimately if the Dark Force defends half or more of the forts on the map you have lost. You can claim a fort tile by placing one of your armies on it. This must be achieved before the dark force amasses 25 armies. If the dark force raises 25 armies before you reclaim the forts, they have contained your rebellion and the war is lost.

This is the Reindeer Rules and Snow Field Region Maps for Dark Force Incursion. It is an expansion which works alongside the core rules. It includes the new Snow Field Region Maps and the expansion rules for Reindeers.

Snow Field Region Maps

There are eight maps included with this expansion, series 1 and 2 each featuring four maps. They function the same way as normal mountain maps and have a winter theme. The only land features that appear in these maps are mountains so no expansions are needed, just the core rules and the additional Reindeer Rules below. This is because Reindeer inhabit these Dark Force Incursion maps. In these maps igloos replace forts and the mountains are snow covered.

Reindeer

In the snowy wastes of you find yourself in there are herds of reindeer which the Dark Forces, that have invaded the territory, have no experience of tracking or hunting. But you know their ways and realise you can use them to help support your forces as beasts of burden. They also reveal trails through difficult ground and provide milk and heat for the troops.
