Description

Hunter Herder is a two player tile placement game with an average play time of around 20 minutes. The game comes in an A6 print-and-play format, although you can also use the images in the book to create your own tiles instead of printing them directly.

Hunter Herder takes place in the harsh Northern Wastes of a dark medieval fantasy world. Each player chooses to play as either the Herder or the Hunter, with both sides competing over the fate of a valuable reindeer herd.

The Herder:
You live among the conifer forests of the Northern Wastes as a skilled reindeer herder. News has reached you that an invading king has sent his Hunter into your lands to capture eight reindeer to pull the king’s mighty sleigh. You refuse to let the invaders steal your herd, so you must rely on your knowledge of the wilderness, clever planning, and deception to hide the reindeer from the enemy Hunter.

The Hunter:
The king has ordered you to capture eight reindeer to pull his mighty sleigh. The only place to find them lies deep within the Northern Wastes, far inside enemy territory. You must venture into these unforgiving lands and track down the herd. One of your minions has warned you that a Herder protects the reindeer, so you must use your hunting skill and determination to fulfil your king’s command.
